Rent Committee gives negative verdict for tenants in Haarlem

File 209

Recently (on the 24th of February), the Rent Committee has spoken about the

servicecosts of the Schoonzichtlaan in Haarlem (more information can be found on this website). Unfortuantely, this judgement was an unpleasant one for the tenants. Despite the fact that an independent investigator had established that the tenants payed annually over €200 too much for the furniture, the Rent Committee that the costs charged by DUWO were fair.... read on

The parking lot of the Rottumeroog (Hoofddorp) building has been closed off to them as of the 6th of March. A mechanical pole blocks the entrance of cars to the area. This measure has immediately led to a lot of nuisance for the area, because cars are being parked all over the place. The building at Poeldijkstraat is currently being refurbished. The entrance at the ground floor has been enlarged and completely restyled and new mailboxes have been placed in the hall. However, the old mailboxes at the back entrance are still being used. Sharp increase in servicecosts as of July 1st?

At the end of January DUWO submitted a new advice request to the Tenants Dome DUWO about the service cost policy that will start as of the 1st of July. This advice is extremely important because it is the only opportunity the tenants have the right to vote on. For all the other advice requests, Duwoners can only give advice. It is also very important because the service costs (all costs in addition to the rent) will be paid by the tenants. Especially since the Parliament has decided to reduce the rent benefit, the tenants might end up paying a lot more as of July.... read on
